“Antonio and Mike are all-stars. Antonio’s boys, while being young and with limited experience, were all super hard workers and very respectful. It’s hard to find labourers willing to commit to roofing long term so I understand the turnover and don’t see the green crew as a negative as Antonio and Mike dealt with all the detail work.”
“Materials were all great, but some scratches of the coating was observed on some installed panels. Since the panels are aluminum it’s not as bad as on a steel roof, but it doesn’t look great. Scratches were too minor to request the panels be replaced. A couple panels were bent from poor installation of the kick boards and Mike replaced those perfectly. You cannot even tell where they were.”
“Mike and Antonio are masters of their craft and it shows in the details. We have angled fascia boards and I watched Antonio recut flashings multiple times until he was satisfied with them without me having to say a thing. Detailing is definitely a strength of this team.”
“I am still finding snipped corners of the aluminum panels and flashings. The magnet the crew used was great for picking up the old nails, but the new aluminum ring shank nails and snipped flashing pieces aren’t magnetic so there are little pieces in the downspout cleanouts and around the yard. I’m hyper aware of them as we have a 13-month old who finds every little thing in the yard.”

They were nervous to coordinate with a roofing company as they had had issues in the past, but they said nothing but good things about working with Antonio and the crew.”

“Probably the most miserable part of the whole experience and put a damper on everything. If you are going to set a date to come, make sure its for real. So many "we will be there mondays" that I went for many weeks without gutters, multiple times moving my kid out of his room and back for no reason, multiple times tearing apart my soffits to expose the water damaged plywood and putting it back together again. Got a call letting me know that the roof is being delievered when the driver was at my house. This made everything a bit frustrating. WOuld rather you just said "nope, not going to be there for a while" and then when it was time to show up, say , we will really be there on monday.”

Where the old shingles were removed and the plywood replaced there is a wavy dip now, I would have personally put the old shingles back up to create a shim of sorts to hide the dip. The leaking roof after didnt help but seems like it may be fixed now, roof looks great otherwise, the wavy spot isnt visible to anyone but my neighbor.”

GuildQuality“Many years ago, we had our roof installed by Interlock Roofing Company, which came with a lifetime warranty. The roof served us well, but over the last couple of years the paint began to peel and it became quite unsightly. We contacted Interlock to request a replacement. I have to admit, it took some time and a few follow-up emails and phone calls, but eventually our case was passed to Todd — and thanks to him, our problem was fully resolved.Todd arranged for the best installer, Danny, to handle our roof, and I don’t have enough words to describe how exceptional he is. Not only is Danny extremely knowledgeable and professional, but he is also a true perfectionist who pays attention to every detail. Our roof looks beautiful again thanks to both Todd and Danny.We truly appreciate their dedication and the quality of their work.”

GuildQuality“From the time I made the decision, to select Interlock as the successful roofing company, I have been extremely satisfied. The customer service has need excellent, regardless of whether it was administration, schedulers or the sale representative. The 4-5 man crew worked hard and long hours, under very hot conditions. Under the supervision of Antonio, a man with extensive experience and thoroughness, the project advanced quickly. One thing that demonstrated this was the focus on keeping the site clean and free of materials and nails and fasteners. Upon completion, my neighbors were echoing my own observation; if a roof could be beautiful, this one met that standard. People walking the public trail, have stopped to take pictures, and ask questions. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍”

We got quotes from numerous leading roofers for this job. Mike from Interlock was the only one who came to our house, spent an evening patiently explaining every aspect of the job, showed us many photos and described some of the technical aspects in ways that were easy to understand. When we called back with more questions, he was always available and always super helpful. For the installation, Mike recognized that we had an old house and were concerned about the workmanship. He sent us an experienced crew led by Oswaldo that went above and beyond any expectation we could have had. They not only protected our home but also took pains to protect the neighbors' homes beside ours. They gave us near daily briefings and showed us photos of everything they found on our roof and their work throughout. The job ended up taking much longer than anticipated because our roof had many problems that needed to be repaired. Oswaldo and Mike worked with us to make sure everything was taken care of and repaired before the new roofing was put on. They proved flexible and extremely diligent, communicating effectively throughout. We are thrilled with the result and grateful for all their hard work. We would not hesitate to use their services again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for roofers. As a bonus, we're delighted that we will never send another huge pile of asphalt shingles to the landfill again!”

Our 1st home had the shingles installed in 2009, and helped sell the home in 2021, as they looked identical to when installed, had no issues and had the transferable 50 year warranty for the second owner. We just got our new house fitted with interlock roofing, as our original (40 year warranty asphalt shingles) were deemed uninsurable (at 23 years old) when trying to get insurance and recently started leaking. Now to the new interlock roof and the customer service. The team is amazing, and professional, they got our roof on, were available to answer any questions, and ensured we were 100%.satisfied before the team left and final payment was made. Decision for the roof was mainly due previous satisfaction, but we also loved knowing we don’t have annual costs/work in the future for things such as moss removal. The roof great for wind, hail and fire rating as well with is a bonus in the Okanagan.”

I decided to get a quote from interlock and was impressed with the product. Interlock was within 10% of my quote for a steel roof and there was a little bit of room for negotiation. The installers worked extremely hard and were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. We had a little bit of damage to a railing from when the old roof was being removed. They offered compensation, but I was able to clean it up so it is hardly noticeable. When it rains hard, there is a pleasant pitter patter sound - not loud or disturbing at all. The roof looks amazing!”

Anything that links to it should be discussed and made aware of. They may only have experienced once and the roofing company deals with it every day. Sales person needs to do what they said otherwise don’t say it. Operation manager needed support as it had derailed his responsibility. The understaff caused improper service. Interlock is experienced in roofing, they should point out that there may be cost associated with other components I.e. plywood, gutters. This is the most disappointing experience with Interlock team. The edge installed has the gaps throughout and the new gutters are needed so that the gaps can be properly sealed. With the pricy roof, we don’t only expect the great quality materials, but also great services and thoughtful advice for the entire roofing.”

Installers were friendly, cooperative and cleaned up thoroughly after each day's work. Took 2 1/2 weeks to complete but it is a big roof. Not cheap, though we wanted a good roof not a cheap roof. One small issue we didn't anticipate, but it is nobody's fault and doesn't reflect on the quality of the roof or workmanship. Because the roof is so smooth, snow collecting on the roof tends to slide down and accumulate beyond the eavestroughs. Then when it thaws, water drips down getting everything below it wet. Our covered patio used to be dry below but now we have to move furniture to keep it from getting soaked. We don't know if this will be a bigger problem when we get deeper snowfall on the roof.”

“My only complaint here after a bit of time looking at the roof is that it seems some of the flashing could have been installed better / feels a bit sloppy in places. Large gaps / disconnects that don't look super great and feels like they could have been done a bit better.”
“I'm mostly in a "wait and see" about this point -- but I had concerns around the installation as it pertains to gutters. A snowfall occurred *during* the installation of the roof in which snow slid down onto the gutter (significant amount of weight on the gutter and have concerns about this over time). I was assured that there should be no problems with gutters and snowfall, but remain a bit concerned that snowfall will result in damage or torn off gutter unless the gutters are removed and/or re-installed below the slope angle so that snow can slide off without hitting / landing on the gutters.”

The flashing was buckled and caused rain to pour in from the north side of the house, coming in through the pot lights in my downstairs family room. After a ridiculous amount of communication back and forth, it was finally fixed 2 1/2 years later! I had to pay for my own home inspection, which Interlock should have paid for. The final fix took approximately 45 minutes (from a part-time employee, who knew what he was doing). We previously ignored your survey due to the fact that although the roof itself is wonderful the clean up was not satisfactory and we are not complainers. My daughters truck and my car have both had screws imbedded in our tires. (On the cobblestone driveway) I have picked up many screws with the little round things on them that make them stick up when laying on the ground. There was also a bit of roofing left behind, small pieces of snipped metal that is dangerous to children and animals when stepped on in grass and on gravel. Maybe a metal detector might be useful at the end of a job? We are thoroughly satisfied with the roof itself, not happy about our tires though.”

GuildQuality“Delivery of materials was a disaster and did not go as it should have. The garbage bin was placed in an odd position (not where Mike had said) which made parking difficult for a couple weeks. Removal of all items at the end of the job instead of leaving plywood at the jobsite would have been nice. Finally I've been finding little aluminum pieces and styrofoam bits around the yard all over.It would have been better if we had gotten more information about the delivery before it came. We were told one date (and it didn't happen). We were told a different day and it was late. When the delivery driver did come we were asked to help move the load as he couldn't move it himself and weren't informed that we should not have helped as things were put in the wrong place and it damaged my vehicle in the garage. A simple "the driver will be responsible for delivery and proper placement of materials" and "materials stolen from jobsite will be Interlock's responsibility" would have made our lives so much easier in the long run. A final inspection by Mike (or other person from Interlock directly) along with us would have been nice. We had a friend come inspect the roof and found deficiencies which made things take longer and it would have been nicer if a final inspection with the company was included.”

Randal was very upfront in the fact that there was a measurement issue for the total length of the panels. “There was a minor issue with some measurements on the house. Initially we were quoted for a standing seam solution for the home and then they made some more detailed measurements and the roof pitch was too long to support the standing seam panels, so we had to switch it to standing seam shingles instead. They handled it well thought so I was okay with that.”
“The installers were good. The only mild issue was that occasionally it was tough to get back and forth with them in a timely fashion, but nothing too terrible.”

The project was completed ahead of schedule as well once it started. We also were getting the gutters done at the same time so the Interlock team was able to work with the gutter installers to make sure the roof was installed in a manner that worked seamlessly with the gutters which was appreciated.Another impressive aspect has been the experience after the project was complete. Todd and the team cares about the product and it shows in terms of answering questions and willingness to go out of the way to make sure we were completely satisfied. Still disappointed about being advised NOT to change fascia by consultant after specifically asking. Now installation complete and metal overhang interferringwith with all fasteners that will have to be removed and installed on new one. The roof will become damaged in the process, and the metal will get bent. Very disappointed, too expensive for this type of oversight.”

I was supposed to make three payments, I paid the second payment and he put lien the property. I was supposed to make the the final payment once the work was complete. If there was a problem he should have just told me instead of putting a lien on my home. I lost $140,000 dollars and I hired another company to complete the project. I only I hired them to do the main house. I have another company that is doing my storage shed. I build custom homes and I had two clients drop out on me because of the lien he put on my property.”

I was not notified of the delivery date of the product, nor was I notified in a timely manner regarding the amount of strapping I was providing, nor was I notified when the disposal bin was to arrive. At the end of the project we, the customer had to arrange the removal of the bin. I also didn't appreciate the after-the-fact emails that were strictly to CYA (cover your ass) from the office staff. I hope when I put my addition on in a couple of years, that these same four fellows will be here to put that roof on as well. Thank you.”

“Dear Interlock: We first saw this house just over a year ago we fell in love with it. At the time we realized the original roof, first growth cedar shakes, was due for replacement so we went hunting for some suitable material. When we saw the Interlock roof we sensed it had what was necessary to protect the house as well as compliment its character. Once we saw the results we knew we chose well. Once we started staying in the house we noticed when it rained there was an extra volume of water coming down the valleys where two main roofs came together. It was a small flaw perhaps in the original design but something which required a little ingenuity to remedy. Your installer Antonio managed to drop by just before Christmas to fix another small problem and fortunately a solution for the valley deluge. He managed to do just that a few days after Christmas on his way back up Island. It looks like his remedy is working. I guess time will tell if it lasts as long as the roof. Either way we would like to commend his efforts and thank you all for a job well done.”

I will be recommending Interlock to everyone I can. I think it is the best decision I could have made. I was very impressed with Rod and Tarek. They were very personable and totally professional. There were a few hiccups along the way that they handled calmly and well. One example is that I have a plastic panel roof over my back porch. They had to remove it to replace the fascia board underneath. They devised a plan and carried it out. The roof is back in place as it was and they sealed the opening between it and the house roof so there is no leakage at all. I asked to keep the old fascia boards that were in not too bad shape and they placed them in my back yard for me, throwing away the really rotten ones. I had a delivery while they were here and the delivery man just dropped the shed in the garage and left the pallet. Rod grabbed it and carried it to the guy and told him to take it away. Then Rod and Tarek moved the shed to a better place for me. As you can see, they not only did a fast and professional job on the roof, but went beyond their job to help me with a few little things, which I greatly appreciated. Thank you again for doing such a great job. I would love to have your job sign on my front yard so that people can see who did my roof and as I said, I will gladly recommend Interlock to any and all.”
